KUCHING (July 14): Eighty-two donors contributed to the blood donation drive, held at the hall of the Indian Association Kuching (IAK), at Rock Road here yesterday.
Hosted by Association of Indian Veterans of Malaysian Armed Forces (Perim) Sarawak in collaboration with the Veterans Affairs Department Sarawak and Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), the event was held in conjunction with the Warrior’s Day celebration, celebrated every July 31.
Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang officiated at the opening ceremony.
Ranger Corps Veterans Association (PVTKR) advisor Lt-Gen Datuk Stephen Mundaw was also present to hand over donations to the several members of Perim Sarawak.
In that event, each successful blood donor was given a 5kg pack of rice and a bag of goodies as an appreciation for their support.
