Fatal accident at Jln Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce traffic light claims motorcyclist’s life

KUCHING, Apr 21: A 39-year-old man was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a cement lorry that occurred at the Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce traffic light in Sibu today.

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 10.10am, and firefighters from the Sibu Central station were deployed.

It was noted that the victim, who rode the motorcycle, was trapped beneath the lorry and pronounced dead by a medical officer from the Ministry of Health.

The victim, identified as Benet Kawit, was then extricated before being handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
