MIRI (Feb 1): Imasa Dinasti Sdn Bhd has taken a significant step towards advancing Miri’s tourism and urban development agenda by hosting a strategic engagement session with Thinker Cultural Tourism Operator for Water Theme Parks, China – a leading developer and operator of large-scale integrated water-themed and cultural tourism destinations.
The engagement, held at the Kenyalang Smart City (KSC) site office yesterday, brought together key stakeholders including local travel agencies, hoteliers and representatives from the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Sarawak Chapter, Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), Miri City Council (MCC) and Miri Resident’s Office.
According to Imasa Dynasti chairman Teo Ah King, the session served as a platform for initial strategic discussions on Miri’s development direction and its positioning as an emerging destination for large-scale, experience-driven tourism developments.
“The primary focus of the engagement is to provide the visiting delegation with a clear understanding of Miri’s development priorities, regulatory environment, planning framework and infrastructure readiness.
“These elements are critical in assessing the viability of potential investments, particularly in the area of integrated water theme parks and complementary tourism offerings,” he said.
Imasa Dinasti facilitated the session in its role as master developer of the Kenyalang Smart City initiative, acting as a strategic connector between international industry players and local stakeholders.
The Thinker Cultural Tourism Operator delegation comprised its sales director Chang Yana, general managers Chen Weimin and Jiang Hepiang, and manager Zhang Jingyue.
Imasa Dinasti is a Sarawak-based property developer and the master developer of the 543-acre Kenyalang Smart City, located next to Curtin University Malaysia here.
The integrated smart city development incorporates smart architecture, green technologies and digital infrastructure, with an emphasis on sustainable and modern living.
The company is part of the TAK Group of Companies.
