KUCHING (Jan 20): KKB Engineering Bhd has secured six contracts with a combined value of about RM80 million for the supply of pipes, poles and related fabricated products.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said it received orders from QC Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd (QC), Bumia Sdn Bhd and EPR (Kuching) Sdn Bhd for the supply of mild steel cement-lined (MSCL) pipes and specials.

Separately, Global Rail Sdn Bhd awarded KKB a contract for the supply, fabrication and hot-dip galvanising of AP poles and VMISS rectangular posts.

The company added that its subsidiaries, Harum Bidang Sdn Bhd and KKB Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, also secured orders from Chun Jun Piling Sdn Bhd for the supply of mild steel pipes and from Citic Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the supply of MSCL pipes.

The order from QC will be delivered over four quarters from the second quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027.

The Global Rail contract is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026, while deliveries for the remaining orders are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026, subject to variations.

KKB said the contracts will not affect its share capital and are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets over the duration of the supply period.

The contracts mark the company’s second win after its subsidiary OceanMight Sdn Bhd secured a RM212 million contract from Petronas Carigali for the provision of minor EPC works on fixed offshore structures and a host tie-in at Erb West for the Belud South Greenfield Development (GFD) project, announced on Jan 9, 2026.
