KUCHING, April 10: Limbang Division Resident Unus Tambi, who has served for 33 years, led a total of 110 civil servants in receiving the Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia (Loyal Service Medal) today.

According to a post on Sarawakku Facebook page, the presentation ceremony was officiated by Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at a local hotel in Limbang.

“The recipients comprised civil servants from 13 departments and agencies in the Limbang Division, including nine State departments such as the Limbang Resident’s Office, Sarawak Land and Survey Department, and the Sarawak Agriculture Department.

“Also represented were four federal agencies, namely the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, the Sarawak State Immigration Department, and the Sarawak State Health Department,” the statement read.

The Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia is awarded to permanent civil servants in the Sarawak public service who have completed at least 20 years of cumulative service, and who have demonstrated excellent and satisfactory performance, subject to endorsement by their respective heads of department.

The recognition reflects the State government’s appreciation for the contributions and dedication of civil servants in strengthening public sector service delivery.

Also present were Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, and Human Resource Management and Development Unit (SHRU) director Datu Sharifah Rohana Datu Wan Alwi. — DayakDaily
