Multi-agency team delivers food aid to flood victims in Limbang

LIMBANG (Jan 17): A total of 349 food baskets were distributed to flood victims in the Limbang District on Thursday.

Limbang Civil Defence Force (APM) officer and also the district flood management committee secretariat, Lt (CD) Jumaat Akasas, said the assistance was delivered to Kampung Lagon Limbun, Kampung Ranggu and Kampung Tanjung.

“APM Limbang, in collaboration with the Welfare Department (JKM), carried out the distribution of food baskets to affected residents.

“Of the total, 61 food baskets were delivered to Kampung Lagon Limbun, 108 packs to Kampung Ranggu and 180 packs to Kampung Tanjung,” he said in a statement.

Jumaat added that a team of personnel using one vehicle kicked off the delivery operation at noon to ensure that the assistance would reach the residents in the affected areas in the most immediate time.
