KOTA KINABALU (Jan 7): Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor today witnessed the symbolic handover of funds totalling RM4.17 million from POIC Sabah Sdn Bhd to the state government.

The amount represented a contribution of RM2 million to the Sabah government and federal loan repayment of RM2.17 million for the year 2025.

The ceremony at Menara Kinabalu saw POIC Sabah chairman Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau symbolically presenting the funds to state Finance Ministry deputy permanent secretary Chee Shok Ting.

Witnessing the handover were Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick, State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Safar Untong, and POIC Sabah Group CEO Datuk Fredian Gan.

Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport Ministry permanent secretary Datuk Thomas Logijin was also present.
