KUCHING, April 3: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended the Special Meeting of Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers 2026 held at the Perdana Putra Complex in Putrajaya yesterday.
According to a post on the Sarawakku Facebook page, Abang Johari was accompanied by Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was also attended by Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers from all states.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Anwar said the meeting served as an important platform to comprehensively assess developments surrounding the global energy crisis following ongoing conflict in West Asia.

“In this framework, the government is mobilising detailed and comprehensive scenario planning to address various possibilities, including ensuring the continuity of the nation’s energy supply under any circumstances.
“The Madani government remains steadfast in its focus to maintain supply stability, curb price pressures, and protect the people from the direct impact of this crisis,” he said.
Following the meeting, Abang Johari also held a one-on-one meeting with Anwar at the Prime Minister’s Office. — DayakDaily
