RM100,000 parking upgrade completed at Holy Rosary Church in Piasau Utara

MIRI (Jan 24): The parking space upgrading project at the Holy Rosary Church in Piasau Utara has been completed at a cost of RM100,000 under the Pujut constituency’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

Pujut assemblyman Adam Yii, who inspected the site recently, said the project involved asphalt resurfacing works and was completed on Dec 30 last year, within the stipulated timeframe.

The mayor expressed satisfaction with the completed works, describing the upgrade as an important infrastructure improvement meant to enhance convenience and safety for churchgoers and local community.

“As the elected representative for N74 Pujut, it is my responsibility to care for the needs of every community, including religious institutions,” he said.

He added that Sarawak is fortunate to be a place where religious freedom is upheld, stressing the importance of mutual respect and harmony among people of different faiths.

“I will continue to support the upgrading and improvement of all religious institutions within my constituency to ensure the well-being of the community as a whole,” said Yii.
