According to the incident report, the child was last seen at around 1.30pm at his family home. His disappearance was discovered when a family member noticed he was no longer in the living room and could not be found despite efforts to search the surrounding area.

The boy is a registered person with disabilities (OKU) and has autism.

Initial information later revealed that the child’s trousers and slippers were discovered near a waterfall, located approximately two kilometres from his home.

Access to the area, as well as to the last known location where the belongings were found, is only possible using 4WD vehicles.

Following discussions with other agencies at the scene and the victim’s family, the SAR operation was temporarily postponed at 8.11pm on Wednesday and resumed early this morning.

On the first day of the resumed operation, search teams conducted a sweep within a three-kilometre radius from the location where the child’s belongings were found. However, as of the latest update, the child has yet to be located. — DayakDaily
