KUCHING, Feb 4: A total of RM20,000 has been allocated to support educational development at SK Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim, Kem Semenggo, aimed at upgrading school facilities and strengthening community support for learning.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap said the contribution will enhance school equipment and infrastructure, creating a more conducive environment for both students and teachers.

“Education is an investment in our future. Ensuring our schools are well-equipped and properly maintained is vital for supporting students’ learning and overall development,” he said in a statement after handing over the cheque to the school’s Parents-Teachers Association (PIBG) today.

During his visit, Yap also conducted a site inspection of Phase 2 upgrading works under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), which has an allocation of RM300,000.

“This monitoring exercise is part of our responsibility to ensure RTP projects are completed to specification, on schedule, and truly serve the community’s needs,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to the school management, PIBG, implementing agencies, and contractors for their cooperation, reaffirming his commitment to education and grassroots development in the Kota Sentosa constituency. — DayakDaily
