KUCHING, 27 Sept: Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his son Dayang Norjihan attended the 25th Music Industry Awards (AIM25) summit at Borneo Kuching Convention Centre (BCCK) this evening.
Brother Johari arrived at 9.30 pm and was greeted by the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts of Sarawak, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Chief Executive Officer of TVS, Kushairi Abang and other nominees.
He then entered the hall at 10.20 pm to witness the inaugural AIM25 rally in Sarawak.
At the ceremony, Brother Johari presented the Best Borneo Song Award to Mawat with the song Dayang Bintang.
The victory saw Mawat make history as the first recipient of the category to be introduced in the AIM25 edition.
The prestigious music awards ceremony in Sarawak also brought together activists from the country's music industry to celebrate works and artistic achievements, including musical talent from Borneo.
