"I'm so grateful that this is one of the awards I've been looking forward to for 21 years. It wasn't until recently, a few years ago, that I really got to work with my music.
"I also thank Amir Jahari for producing such a beautiful and inspiring song. This award is actually for him", he told reporters at the AIM25 press conference here today.
Marsha, popularly known for her song Rainbow Sure, said she never gave up on believing in herself despite facing various challenges throughout her artistic journey.
He also attributed work that elevated Borneo's identity and DNA, including the album Misompuru, as among the sources of inspiration to continue working.
Meanwhile, Hazama attributed his victory in the category of Best Runut Sound via AIM25 as a special achievement after 20 years of being involved in the music industry.
"Thanks be to God, this is my first prize in the award. Thanks to Farouk Roman and Zel Haduan. Thank God, thank you to Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia for the success of this project.
"I'm actually carrying Farouk's provisions. I've been among the most nominated since 2012, so in 2026 when I collaborate with Farouk Roman, Alhamdulillah this is my first award in this category", he said.
Hazama won the award for his song I'm Not a Narcissist, the soundtrack to the film He's Not Heaven.
He said his previous failure to achieve victory never broke his passion for continuing work, instead considering it a bonus on the journey as an art activist.
