KUCHING, 25 September: The 25th Music Industry Awards (AIM25) was held to strengthen the experience of TV Sarawak in running large-scale entertainment events.
TVS Chief Executive Officer, Kushairi Abang said the AIM25 event which brought together more than 100 artists was an important experience for TVS citizens in managing large-scale entertainment events.
"It's going to be an exciting event because we will bring over 100 artists who are coming here and then, most of the awards will be presented here.
"We will also have for the first time, the Borneo Awards which will honour local artists or musicians from Sabah and Sarawak", he told TVS after reviewing the final preparations of the Music Industry Awards here today.
According to Kushairi, the experience of running AIM25 also gives TVS citizens an opportunity to learn aspects of large-scale entertainment event management.
He added that the experience was important as a preparation for TVS to run larger programs in the future.
"Thanks be to God, we actually did it and it was a training session for TVS to run events like this. In terms of entertainment, this is what we consider the biggest show ever on TV.
"God willing, may the staff and art activists of Sarawak especially the TVS staff learn from such events so that they can hold a bigger event again", he added.
Kushairi added that the experience through AIM25 will be among the foundations for TVS to explore future major events, including SEA Games and OIC Games 2029. - TVS
