AIM25: Siti Nurhaliza considered 14 nominations of Gema Bumantara as a win

KUCHING, Sept 27: Gema Bumantara's nomination in 14 categories of the 25th Music Industry Awards (AIM25) has become a significant victory for Biduanita Negara, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, after continuous commitment to produce quality work.

He said that the effort to produce quality albums is not only about singers, but also strengthens the contribution of songwriters and lyricists who contribute to the power of a work.

According to him, he always strives to ensure that every album produced has the best quality and is comparable in AIM.

"The really hard work of those who created the songs, wrote the lyrics, it actually reinforced my album", he said at the 25th BCCK Music Industry Awards press conference recently.

Siti Nurhaliza said the experience of not winning any category last year never broke her spirit, instead encouraging her to produce a better album through Gema Bumantara.

The number of nominations he received this year said he was proud enough, without making the number of trophies a key measure of success.

"Whatever awards I win, how much or how little, for me the victory comes from myself when Gema Bumantara, 14 categories are my candidate", he said.

He explained that the decision to nominate several songs in a particular category was made because of not knowing which works met the criteria for jury evaluation.

The move also gives space for songwriters and lyricists to be recognized for their contributions in enriching the local music industry.
