Knight Frank Malaysia firmly operates in Sarawak

KUCHING, 7 Oct: Growing domestic and international interest in Sarawak real estate market has prompted Knight Frank Malaysia (KFM) to strengthen its operations through the opening of a new office in Kuching.

The opening of KFM's fifth branch completes its office in Miri which commences operations in 2024, thereby expanding the company's capacity to provide consulting and real estate services in Sarawak.

Knight Frank Group Malaysia's Managing Director Keith Ooi said their presence in Kuching was part of the group's long-term strategy to expand operations at strategic locations across the country.

"The opening of this new office in Kuching is in line with the Group's long-term vision to expand our presence at strategic locations across the country, thereby enabling us to better serve customers through wider local market coverage.

"It also strengthens ties with stakeholders and communities as well as enabling us to tap into the growing regional growth opportunities", he said in a statement after inaugurating the office which was attended by Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

According to him, KFM is committed to strengthening market presence and capabilities in major regions like Sarawak, along with efforts to achieve sustainable growth as well as providing long-term value to customers.

The new office focuses on the industrial, office, hospitality, residential and retail real estate segments, as well as offering property assessment and research services, environmental, social and governance (ESG), project management, real estate and assets.

Meanwhile, Sarawak Knight Frank Malaysia Director Jane Liaw said the opening of an office in Kuching allows the company to act more quickly on customer needs in a dynamic state real estate landscape.

"With the opening of the Kuching branch, we aim to further enhance the adaptability and market speeds that are characteristic of Knight Frank's services around the world, as well as guide customers through the dynamic real estate landscape with local expertise", he said.

KFM's presence in Kuching comes ahead of the group's 25th anniversary next year.
