KUCHING, Sept 22: Kuching City FC will introduce a numbered seating system for the team's action in the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup and AFC Champions League Two (ACL Two) at Petra Jaya Stadium.

Kuching City FC Executive Chairman, Dato Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said that each match ticket will be equipped with a seat number to ensure the audience is at the designated location.

According to him, the system is a new approach that must be implemented in line with the needs of international competition.

"This is something new, but that's the plan we're going to implement. Viewers should follow the seats indicated on their tickets", he said in a press conference at Sarawak State Library, today.

To ensure that the system can be implemented smoothly, Fazzrudin said, a friendly match will be organized first using the ticket sales system similar to real action.

"We will sell tickets for the AFC and Shopee Cup matches so that our fans and staff can get acquainted with the system", he said.

In the meantime, he announced that the Government of Sarawak has allocated RM7 million for upgrading works at Petra Jaya Stadium to meet the standards set for competitors Shopee Cup and ACL Two.

However, he said the club was expected to use only part of the allocation in advance to ensure that the stadium can be completed and used according to the schedule. - TVS
