KUCHING: Motorists travelling between Bau, Lundu and Biawak can expect to encounter Malaysian Army vehicles and military assets on the roads from next weekend as ‘Exercise Satria Perkasa 3 Bgd 2026’ gets underway.

The annual exercise, held from October 17 to 27, is aimed at enhancing the army’s operational readiness and interoperability in facing security challenges.

The First Infantry Division said military vehicles and assets would be deployed along the Bau-Lundu-Biawak route as part of the planned exercise.

Road users and residents in the affected areas have been urged to remain alert and cooperate with the authorities to facilitate the movement of military assets.

Members of the public have also been cautioned against spreading speculation or unverified information that could cause unnecessary concern or confusion.

The division said any information about the exercise should be obtained from official and authorised sources to ensure its accuracy and prevent the spread of inaccurate reports.

It thanked the public for their cooperation and understanding, saying their support would help ensure the exercise runs smoothly while strengthening ties between the Armed Forces and the community.
