BETONG, Sept 27: Two daughters of the Saribas District Legislative Assembly (DUN), Zaini Sidi and Abdul Wahab Jimi will take on Sarawak's challenge at the 55th National Ranked Body Building Championships (Mr Malaysia 2026).
Sarawak Deputy Minister of Women, Children and Community Development, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam said the two athletes were among representatives from Saribas who actively participated in bodybuilding competitions at state level.
He said the active involvement of Saribas athletes in state-level competitions also opened up opportunities for them to develop their talents to a higher level.
"Two athletes from DUN Saribas, Zaini Sidi and Abdul Wahab Jimi are actively participating in competitions at the state level and are now bringing challenges to the national level", he said as he delivered a fundraiser here today.
He who is also a Member of the National Assembly (ADUN) Saribas said their participation on the national stage proved the potential of local athletes in bodybuilding.
The Mr. Malaysia 2026 is scheduled to take place from 1 to 5 October at the ABC Grand Ballroom, Urban Inn Alor Setar, Kedah.
The tournament brings together bodybuilders from across the country to compete in various categories.
