AHE Group seeks broader regional reach with Ukrainian labradorite producer Golovinski
KUCHING: AHE Group is seeking to expand the regional reach of Golovinski labradorite following talks with the Ukrainian stone producer at Marmomac 2026 in Verona, Italy.
The Sarawak-based natural stone specialist said the discussions centred on widening the availability of Golovinski’s signature material across the Far East and Southeast Asia.
AHE Group chairman Andy Kho and group representative Justin Kho attended the four-day exhibition as part of a select group of Southeast Asian delegates invited by the organisers.
Golovinski specialises in the extraction of high-grade labradorite, a natural stone prized in luxury architecture for its distinctive iridescent sheen and durability.
“The group is looking to expand the availability and market reach of Golovinski’s signature material across the Far East and Southeast Asia,” Andy told Sarawak Tribune.
During the exhibition, AHE Group also re-established ties with long-time industry associates who are now part of Italian group Granulati Zandobbio, a specialist in natural stone products, landscape surfaces and high-performance sintered stone tiles.
Andy said AHE Group has built its business around sourcing, fabricating and supplying marble, granite and hardscape materials for major projects while adapting its product range to changing architectural requirements.
“The engineered tiles we carry offer the appearance of natural stone while providing structural versatility for complex building envelopes and high-traffic developments.
“Our involvement in developments across the region also covers custom stone cladding and book-matched marble for luxury hotel lobbies and resort decks.
“This also includes large-format stone facades for commercial towers and civic developments designed with international firms.”
The group also represents international architecture firm Pelli Clarke & Partners in the region.
Andy said Marmomac provided an opportunity to reconnect with long-standing business partners, trade associates and international suppliers with whom the group has built relationships over several decades.
He has attended the Verona stone industry showcase regularly since 1999.
“The invitation extended to Southeast Asian delegates reflects what we see as the region’s growing importance and purchasing presence in the global natural stone trade.
“Following the connections renewed in Italy, we aim to continue introducing new surface materials and architectural products to developers and architects across Sarawak and the wider regional market.”
