BETONG, September 25: More than 120,000 visitors are targeted to attend the Program Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) Betong during its 25-month program from September 27 this year.
Sarawak Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Development, Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu said the reception on the first day of the programme showed that visitor attendance began to increase.
"Today is the first day of My Dear Sarawak Program in Betong and we have already seen people coming.
"We expect more than 120,000 people to visit SKS in Betong", he said during his meeting at the SKS program today.
According to Gerald, the summit of the programme is scheduled to take place on Saturday with the attendance of Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to complete the inauguration of SKS Betong.
Meanwhile, he said SKS became an important platform bringing together various government services in one location to facilitate people's access to information and deal directly with relevant agencies.
He said that the approach also allows for any issues or complaints of citizens to be forwarded to relevant parties for speedier action.
"Here we see the majority involving government services so that people know what we have and at the same time we can reach them.
"It's important as a one-stop center. We can continue to provide information and if there is a complaint, action can be taken faster", he said.
Additionally, the digitization aspect was also taken into consideration following the deployment of various government digital applications and services including Sarawak ID.
