Slovakia discusses potential cooperation in the field of technology with Sarawak

KUCHING, Sept. 23: Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Malaysia Peter Spisiak discusses potential cooperation in the field of technology with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He said Slovakia will offer expertise and technology to Sarawak especially in the areas of water management, flood management, waste management, environmental technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"There are several companies in Slovakia that have the potential to establish cooperation with Sarawak in these areas.

"We will probably organize an online presentation session involving Slovak companies and the business community in Sarawak, in cooperation with the Sarawak Business Federation as well as certain ministries and departments within the government of Sarawak", he said.

He said this to the media after making a visit to honour Prime Minister Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Satria Pertiwi Complex here today.

Meanwhile, he was also impressed by the diversity of Malaysian culture and society especially in Sarawak.

He said it was a major advantage and strength of Malaysia which contributed to the economic development. - TVS
