SMT A powerful pupil of digital skills

KUCHING, Sept. 24: Sekhkat Technical High School (SMT) continues to strengthen technical and digital education to produce highly skilled and competitive students globally.

The head of SMT Sejingkat, Puan Chan Pek Ling @ Elda said the efforts included providing exposure to students to artificial intelligence (AI) through AI Power Classroom and One Child One Device initiatives.

According to him, the approach is also supported by learning related to Data Science, AI Fundamental and microcredential programs to strengthen digital skills of students.

"We also want to produce highly skilled, dignified and globally competitive human beings", he said.

He said that students' excellence is not only measured through academic achievement, but also includes the formation of skills, human values and skills needed to face the world of work.

Meanwhile, SMT Sejingkat also emphasizes on technical education in civil, electrical and mechanical engineering to prepare students towards careers in engineering.

"Skinke Engineering High School is a secondary school for engineers. It's a school to create the engineers of the future", he said.

Furthermore, the efforts are in line with the school's aspiration to produce a generation that not only excels academically but also has the skills and self-esteem to face future challenges.
