Sri Aman's GEMA KEMAS program is a powerful rural community

SRI AMAN, 27 Sept: The GEMA KEMAS Sri Aman programme is seen as among important initiatives in helping empower rural communities through education, sustainable development, skills improvement and community well-being.

This was announced by the Member of Parliament, Dato' Sri Doris Sophia Brodie when she inaugurated GEMA KEMAS Sri Aman Program Suspension Meeting at Chuan Ak Alam House, Rian River, Kampung Jaong here yesterday.

He said such programmes also help build self-confidence, empower families and prepare communities for the current change.

"We commend KEMAS Sri Aman for their continued commitment and efforts to successfully implement various KEMAS programs in the region.

"Various developments in Sarawak in the energy, logistics, aviation, technology, health and alternative energy sectors continue to be implemented", he said.

He said that the implementation of the project not only enhances facilities and economic growth, but also has the potential to open thousands of job opportunities for people especially young generation.

He said that the progress of Sarawak requires commitment, sound planning, policy continuity and leadership of the GPS Government of Sarawak, as well as active community support and involvement. - TVS
