LIMBANG, Sept 27: School authorities and parents play an important role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students at school is a priority.

Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said strong cooperation between the two sides is an important element to address any acts and disciplinary issues among students including bullying cases.

"Schools and parents need to work together to address any school mistreatment.

"Any initial complaints should be investigated and these problems must be addressed to avoid further transmission", he said during the inaugural Fun Run, Motorcycle Convoy and ALIM Education Carnival, National High School of Balanced Religion 2026 today.

The Balanced Member of Parliament said schools and parents should work together to provide the best mechanism including investigating any initial complaints received.

"Parents should monitor their children's development to prevent them from engaging in any disciplinary activities at school.

"The student population is the future of the country, but in the digital age these people are seen as so addicted to gadgets, especially smartphones", he said.

Obviously, although the use of gadgets such as smartphones, tablets and computers is now a part of young people's daily lives, overuse and uncontrolled use can lead to addiction. - TVS
