DARO, 27 September: The United Bumiputera Party (UBB) of the Daro Branch reinforces its members' knowledge of the achievements of the Sarawak government in preparation for a State Election (PRN) that can be held at any time.

The head of the UN Branch Daro, Dr Safiee Ahmad said that each member should fully understand the development and successes of the state government under the leadership of the Sarawak Premier, Datuk Tinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

"It covers various areas including infrastructure development, economic strengthening, education and welfare of the people which are among the main focuses of state administration.

"A solid knowledge of the government's achievements is essential for party members to be able to communicate accurate information to the public, as well as explain the various efforts being made in the interest of the people of Sarawak.

"At the same time, members must continue to maintain unity and strengthen internal cooperation so that the United Nations remains one of the important milestones in Sarawak Party Co-operation (GPS)," he said at the Santai and Jom Pamuk UN Branch Daro program here today.

Dr Safiee said the strength of party organisation also needs to be continuously strengthened with active involvement of all levels, including the Women's Movement which plays an important role in moving party activity at its core.

He said the programme was not only a space for strengthening ties between members, but also used to strengthen spirit of solidarity and ensure that party machinery is always ready for any possibility.

"The unity and commitment of the members is essential to ensure that the UN Branch of Daro can carry out its responsibilities properly as well as continue supporting the state leadership in fighting for Sarawak's interests.

"The programme is also part of the party's continuing activities following implementation of UN conventions at the zone level, including preparations for the UN Southern Zone Convention", he said. -TVS
