Three routes around Plain Pehin Loy King are closed in accordance with SKS 2026 Open Section

MUKAH, Sept 27: Three routes near Pehin Setia Raja Square here will be closed to allow for the implementation of Sarawakku Sayang Program (SKS) 2026 Open Section.

Mukah Regional Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police Muhamad Rizal Alias said the closure involves Jalan Setia 1, Ceria Road junction and Wawasan Road Circle junction.

He said the closure starts at 10:00 p.m. before program and ends at 6:00 p.m. on October 4th.

He said the move was aimed at controlling traffic flow as well as ensuring public safety throughout the programme.

"The number of visitors is expected to reach 10,000 people at a time, so traffic control should be given priority", he said in a statement today.

In this regard, the public is advised not to place vehicles on the shoulders of roads or in locations that could obstruct traffic and emergency vehicles.

Several alternative parking areas are provided, including in Pehin Setia Raja Tower, Government Office of Sarawak Division Mukah, Setia Raja Mosque and nearby commercial area.

Road users are required to follow the directions of security guards, signs and use designated alternate routes to ensure that traffic remains smooth throughout the closure period. - TVS
