Truck driver stuck in the fridge.

SERIAN, Sept. 26: An adult man was injured after a 10-ton truck he allegedly smashed into the back of a trailer truck near the Cold Hall Village Mosque here this morning.

In the incident around 6:05 a.m. that morning, the victim was reportedly crushed in the driver's seat with injuries to his leg.

According to the Centre for Operational Movements (PGO) of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Sarawak, a team from Serial Bombing and Rescue Hall (BBP) arrived at the scene at 6.37 am and found the victims were still in conscious condition.

"The operation to remove the victims was carried out using rescue and sealing equipment before the victims were safely removed.

"The victim was then handed over to the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) ambulance for further treatment", the statement said.

Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer truck was reported to be uninjured.

The bomb squad is also carrying out road clearance work to ensure safe passage before the operation ends at 7.08 am.

The operation was led by PBK I Fairus Bin Jamain with eight members using an FRT and an EMRS, also assisted by PDRM and KKM. - TVS
