Tun Wan Junaidi, wife of Dr Mahathir

KUCHING, 28th September: The State Elder of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi extend their condolences to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the entire family for the departure of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali today.

According to the statement of Astana Sarawak, Tun Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah also appreciated Allahyarhamah's services and contributions in the field of medicine and public health.

It includes Allahyarrah's contributions in maternal and child health care as well as service to rural communities.

In the same statement, they also prayed for Tun Mahathir and his family members to be given strength and resilience in the face of the loss.

In the meantime, Tun Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah prayed that Allah may accept all his good deeds and place his spirit among the believers.
Allahyarhamah Tun Dr Hasmah died at 9.20 this morning at the National Heart Institute (IJN), Kuala Lumpur.
