SARIKEI, 8 Oct: The Sarawak Department of Road Transport (JPJ) continues to ensure easy and inclusive public service access through the implementation of mobile thumbprint or mobile fingerprint services.
Through the initiative, Saiful Abdul Ghani along with Mohd Afif Alias from JPJ Sarikei's Vehicle Licensing Division attended a vehicle owner's residence for fingerprint verification for the vehicle ownership exchange process yesterday.
According to a statement by JPJ Sarawak, the service was provided following an application of registered owners who were unable to attend the JPJ counter due to health reasons.
"The approach reflects the concern of JPJ Sarawak in ensuring public services are accessible to all sections especially those who face restrictions on attending the counter.
"JPJ Sarawak will continue to expand such initiatives to ensure that no displaced persons are excluded from receiving services, in addition to supporting efforts to create efficient, integrated and citizen-friendly public service delivery", the statement said.
