JPJ Sarawak near the community through a moving counter at Regatta Niah

NIAH, 28 Sept: Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) through the JPJ Miri Moving Counter Unit joined Regatta @ Niah Peringkat Daerah Subis 2026 as a showcase to bring department services closer to local communities.

The program, which ran from September 25 to yesterday in Waterfront, Nepalese Countryside, also gave the public an opportunity to get information about the services and initiatives provided by JPJ.

According to JPJ Sarawak's statement, the participation of JPJ Miri Moving Counter Unit enables local communities to access JPJ related information and services more easily without having to visit a long distance JPJ office.

"The engagement is also part of JPJ Sarawak's efforts to expand service delivery through a simpler, more people-friendly and closer approach.

"JPJ Sarawak also expressed appreciation and thanks to the organizers for their invitation and cooperation in carrying out the programme", the statement said.

JPJ Sarawak will continue to implement community-based approach to ensure departmental information and services can be delivered more effectively to the community.-TVS
