JPLS provides SPECS, aquaculture assistance to Agrofest 2026 visitors

BINTULU, 28 Sept: Sarawak Department of Marine Fisheries (JPLS) during the Randu Session: Summary of SPECS Aquaculture Assistance provided explanation regarding assistance programs and support services to the people at JPLS Fisheries Site in connection with Agrofest 2026.

The purpose of the session is to provide a clearer understanding to the community, especially entrepreneurs and prospective aquaculture entrepreneurs on the implementation of SPEKS as well as the forms of assistance provided by JPLS.

A briefing was delivered by the Director of JPLS's Aquatic Branch describing facilities, technical advice and support related to the development of the aquaculture sector.

According to the statement of JPLS, in addition to briefing, the session also served as a platform for interaction between JPLS and the public to get direct explanation on terms and procedures of aid applications.

"Participants also had the opportunity to get information regarding technical support services as well as various initiatives for aquaculture sector development in Sarawak.

"The session is expected to raise public awareness about the opportunities and facilities provided by JPLS, as well as encourage more entrepreneurs to utilize assistance and support services to develop the state's aquaculture sector", the statement said.
