KUCHING, 11 Oct: Kelantan City FC head coach Alfredo Carlos Gonzalez Machado has expressed dissatisfaction with some of the referee decisions allegedly affecting the team's chances in FA Cup competition.
He alleged that the three Kuching City FC networks who contributed to his team's aggregate 1-4 defeat were affected by questionable court decisions, including allegations of offside position and rudeness before the network was carried out.
According to Alfredo, the situation changed the momentum of the game, although his players tried to get up and get a positive result through their own approach to the game.
"I have great doubts about those networks. For the first goal, my player was on the line, the second goal was in an offside position, while the third goal came from roughness.
"This changed the course of the game even though players kept trying to give their best and try to get positive results through football games, despite pressure from the host team", he said.
However, Alfredo also admitted Kelantan City took between 20 and 25 minutes to adjust the game before his players started showing performance according to the team's schedule.
In the meantime, he acknowledged Kuching City's advantage of having a lineup of quality players on the bench, thus giving the team more choice to change the pace of play.
The advantage, he said, was one of the factors that allowed the Cats to remain competitive throughout the match, as Kelantan City failed to overcome the aggregate deficit and had to forget their dream of continuing to compete in the FA Cup campaign. - TVS
