Limbang, Sri Aman stations record Malaysia’s highest max temps at 35.8°C, 35.5°C

KUCHING, June 5: The meteorology stations in Limbang and Sri Aman have recorded the highest maximum temperatures nationwide on Thursday (June 4) with readings of 35.8°C and 35.5°C, respectively.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia), this was followed by the station in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, with a maximum temperature of 34.6°C.

Focusing on Sarawak, the station in Kuching recorded the third highest maximum temperature at 34.5°C, followed by Mulu (34.2°C), Bintulu (33.8°C), Miri (33.4°C), Sibu (32.6°C), and Mukah (32.3°C).

Meanwhile, the station in Kapit reported 29.7°C and was the only one in the State to report a maximum temperature of below 30°C.

“Stay informed about weather changes and plan your daily activities by referring to the official website and social media channels of MET Malaysia,” said the department.

On May 21, the majority of meteorology stations in Sarawak recorded a maximum temperature of 34°C and above, with three areas recording maximum temperatures of above 35°C—Sibu (35.9°C), Sri Aman (35.8°C), and Mulu (35.3°C). — DayakDaily
