RECENTLY, a video went viral; in the video, a man can be seen running amok and in the process he stabs himself in the stomach with a knife before being restrained by police. It is claimed that the whole incident happened in Sibu, Sarawak.
Is this true?

Sibu OCPD ACP Zulkipli Suhaili confirmed this in a statement, saying that police personnel arrived on the scene shortly after receiving a report at about 12.20pm on Nov 14.
“Police personnel found a man with mental health issues had run amok before stabbing himself in the stomach with a knife.
“They had attempted to calm the suspect down, but he became aggressive and sustained a wound to the stomach from the stabbing,” he said.
ACP Zulkipli said that the suspect was successfully arrested and brought to Hospital Sibu for treatment.
